  • Marie has been a great big sister to me. We never grow up in hanabata days but you could never tell. We could go years without talking and pick right up where we left off. I remember this one time I was in the Army stationed in New York, Marie literally made a road trip just come pick me up to hang out for the weekend. I don’t remember ever laughing that hard. 2 adults acting like little kids again. She will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Frank Schultz (Brother) on: Mar 04, 2026

  • I first met Marie at our apartment building in 1994 on St. Mary'd Rd when my 2nd daughter was born. Marie was a ray of sunshine, always laughing and smiling. We visited each other often between apartments as she lived downstairs from me. Even at her young age at that time, you can tell she loved kids and I knew she was some one I could trust. I also new that some day she'd make a great mother, and she did. I am proud of all she had accomplished in her life, I will miss her dearly. my heart goes out to Steve and the family, they will love & miss you always..R.i.P Marie. - Posted by: Tina Ryland (friend) on: Mar 04, 2026

  • When I moved provinces and came to Winnipeg, I began teaching dance to Hannah. Marie welcomed me to the studio with open arms and was a huge supporter, making it feel like a dance family. She was always there, telling stories, laughing, being sassy, and making the time there something to remember. She helped things run smoothly and made sure everyone had what they needed. I'll miss her kindness and humour. Rest in peace, thank you for all you did.♡ - Posted by: Victoria Nelson (Child's Dance Instructor) on: Mar 04, 2026

  • Marie had this amazing way of making everyone feel special. Being a mom is hard and yet Marie was a mom to anyone in need. She cared so deeply about those around her and it was impossible not to love her. Truly a beautiful woman inside and out. Loved and remembered so fondly. - Posted by: Melanie Gluchi (Dance moms) on: Mar 04, 2026

  • I had the pleasure of being friends with Marie as a Dance mom over several years. Marie was so kind, funny and fiercely loving and supportive of her daughter Hannah. She was a true friend to me during a difficult personal time and gave freely her advice, time and skills to me and many others. It is not always easy to make a friend in adulthood but being friends with Marie was so easy... I will miss her very much and will remember her laughter and kindness always. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Margaret Stanger (Dance mom friend) on: Mar 04, 2026
